Golden Palm Website Design
Golden Palm offers website design and site maintenance at very reasonable rates, built to modern web standards. Our websites utilize the capabilities of today's browsers but can still be viewed in non-standards compliant browsers. We employ CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) in all new designs, which makes site-wide changes 'down the road' a one step process! CSS and (X)HTML work together to present a website - (X)HTML handles the content, while CSS dictates how that content will be displayed.
Continuing Education
We work at staying current with website design. Change is a constant in this business, and we believe it's important to continue our own education and take advantage of the latest the real 'web gurus' have to offer! Our membership in the International Webmasters Association and enrollment in the classes offered by the HTML Writers Guild are beneficial to you, our potential client. We ensure our websites are standards-compliant by validating the (X)HTML and CSS of every page we write.
Client Input
We are happy to work with our clients established logos and preferences, to carry on their existing image. Or, we can design the logo and create the image! We can integrate galleries and albums, forums and applications from other sources, and where possible apply common colors and images, enabling a nearly seamless blending with the rest of the website.
The Art of Simplicity
Most viewers want to negotiate a chosen website quickly. They don't appreciate 'mystery meat' navigation and drawn out intro pages that offer no escape. They are interested in the content and getting to it! We strive for clear navigation and clean content at Golden Palm. We try to ensure that the most important messages on a page are 'above the fold' and positioned attractively, encouraging the viewer to keep looking/reading down the page.
